We provide swift, competitive short-term property finance for our clients so that they can realise opportunities and progress developments. With a strong capital base to lend, whether looking to acquire a new property, unlocking equity in a current property or initiating a property investment or refurbishment, we can find a lending solution that is tailored to exactly what is needed.

We have a senior-leadership team on hand, who are deeply experienced in the real estate and financial worlds, who can offer a unique understanding of our clients’ challenges. Our dedicated underwriters will guide and support every loan from the initial enquiry through to the loan completion, where we have an efficient credit approval process in place, so our clients should never have to miss an opportunity.

Meet the team

Glenhawk was conceived by entrepreneur and developer Guy Harrington, who has been lucky enough to attract some of the most talented professionals in our industry.

Now including the Founder of Rightmove and the former Non-Executive Director of Octane amongst others, we are proud and privileged to have such a committed and talented team, from all different backgrounds and walks of life.

Guy Harrington

CEO & Founder

Over the last 10 years, with the backing of international investors, Guy has developed over £100,000,000 of prime central London property. He has experienced the most complex development situations. From detailed lease extension issues to excavating triple height basements, Guy has gained experience of the whole development process. His career was built on trust and relationships, the very core of how Glenhawk operates.

Guy formed Glenhawk to provide a new angle on property finance, with the aim of becoming the best non-bank lender in the market, focusing on speed, service, and flexibility.

When he’s not working Guy enjoys cooking, long walks and is a strong advocate for mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.

Caroline Ong

Non-Executive Director

With more than 20 years of commercial and residential real estate experience as a board advisor, committee member and executive director, Caroline provides strategic operational and governance counsel to the Glenhawk leadership team.

Caroline joins Glenhawk from the early stage UK specialist mortgage lender Octane, where as a Non-Executive Director she was heavily involved in its successful launch in 2016. Caroline also spent over seven years as Chief Operating Officer of Pamplona Capital Management’s hedge funds, and then as a Portfolio Manager of its flagship credit fund, where she was responsible for launching two funds totalling £1 billion. Caroline has also worked for international financial services firms Goldman Sachs, Bank Austria AG and Bear Stearns. Caroline has an MBA from the University of NSW and University of Sydney.

Harry Hill

Non-Executive Director

Between 1985 and 2006 Harry was the CEO of Countrywide plc, the largest owned estate agency and property services group in Europe before it’s sale to American private equity for over £1 billion pounds.

During the same period, he was involved in the creation and public flotation of Rightmove plc (which he chaired for the first five years) and Chesnara plc.

Since retiring from Countrywide in 2006, Harry has built up a portfolio of non-executive directorships in both the public and private sector across a range of business activities. Harry qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1970 and has spent most of his professional career in the property industry.

Nick Hilton

Managing Director

Nick has a diverse background starting in Asset Management, moving on to property funds, specifically launching the first FCA regulated short term lending fund for a leading member of the London Stock Exchange.

Most recently Nick has been at the forefront of an established bridging lender, being instrumental in acquiring two significant funding lines. Since 2008, Nick has been responsible for lending over half £billion across both residential and commercial bridging where there are now few situations he has not seen.

Nick has a very effective hands on approach with all our clients, using his experience in the sector to advise and support at all stages of the process. As well as a general interest in business, he is also a key player and captain of the Glenhawk football team.

Damani Johnson

Chief Operating Officer

Damani has substantial experience in compliance and has spent the last seven years with a major high street lender assisting in their successful FCA application and funding. During this time, Damani implemented the compliance monitoring and audit programmes, managing the complaints and operational compliance teams, serving as the financial crime officer.

Damani also worked here as the MLRO where he successfully implemented a very effective anti-money laundering system from the ground up. This included designing and implementing new policies and procedures, including changes to the reporting format and structure.

A very good cook, Damani is also knowledgeable on FCA matters and brings with him his very practical approach to compliance.

Andrew Townsend

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew heads up our established finance team and is responsible for the company’s financial strategy. He is also responsible for the financial risk structure of the company to ensure that robust systems and internal financial controls are in place to protect the interests of our investors.

Andrew brings with him an impressive track record, including at Beacon Home Loans, a reputable mortgage lender whom originated over £2bn of mortgage assets, where he was CFO and Co-Founder. Prior to this Andrew was instrumental in selling Southern Pacific Mortgages to Lehman brothers and he also held the position of Finance Director at First National Bank. Earlier in his career Andrew was MD at the Household Mortgage Corporation.

Joan Drummond

Head of Collections

Joan joins Glenhawk in a newly created role as Head of Collections, with responsibility for heading the loan servicing and collections team. She brings over 20 years of experience in loan servicing, having previously managed operational teams at Mars Capital and CHL Mortgages, where she dealt with a wide range of loan books across the residential, Buy-to-Let and commercial sectors, encompassing all aspects of both primary and specialist servicing including recoveries and asset management.

Originally from Scotland, Joan hopes to fully utilise her Scottish no nonsense approach, with an injection of dry Scottish humour to help provide support and bring solutions to our Bridging Finance clients.

Jamie Pritchard

Director of Sales

Jamie, who brings over 20 years of real estate lending experience, is responsible for establishing Glenhawk’s regional and national offering, leading our team of Business Development Managers, with a focus on evolving our product offering, while ensuring we provide our clients with the best possible service and rates.

Jamie joins Glenhawk from Precise Mortgages, where he spent nearly seven years, the last five as Head of Sales. During this time Jamie led a team of 15 sales managers, where he oversaw £2.8 billion of mortgage originations in 2019. Recognition of his success came in 2020, winning Best Head of Sales at the prestigious British Specialist Lending Awards. He previously worked at Principality Building Society where he was business development manager and interim head of intermediary sales.

Annabel Crawshaw

Head of Operations

Since joining the financial services industry in 2001, Annabel has gained a wealth of knowledge in the property sector having previously been a key member of a large mortgage broker where she managed a team of administrators and brokers.

Annabel enjoys learning about different changes within the sector and has strong and mutually respected relationships with clients, solicitors and brokers throughout the industry.

At Glenhawk, Annabel is responsible for the smooth running of all internal and external administration. Her technical experience means she can manage effectively the day to day enquiries through to solicitor enquiries. Very practical and sociable, Annabel is also our resident problem solver.

Kaitlyn Pitt

Head of Lending

Kaitlyn’s background in credit originates from having worked at some of the bridging industry’s leading lenders including Dragonfly Property Finance, Octopus Property and LendInvest. With a pragmatic approach Kaitlyn played an integral role in these businesses success during periods of key growth.

As Head of Lending at Glenhawk, Kaitlyn will enable us to improve efficiency and processes to enhance our client experience, while ensuring excellent underwriting and lending quality.

When Kaitlyn is not busy lending, she enjoys wine, being in good company and travelling around the world.

Gabriella Rees

Head of Marketing

Starting her career at internationally renowned developers Candy & Candy, Gabriella brings with her over ten years of marketing experience within the property and finance sectors.

Having delivered the marketing on numerous developments in the UK for clients such as Blackstone, Argent and Northacre, Gabriella’s career profile also spans across USA where she successfully delivered campaigns for clients including RXR Realty and Tishmen Speyer. Here she also provided strategic consultancy on a number of corporate brand and awareness campaigns.

Gabriella’s experience specifically in development means she can provide invaluable insight into our client needs. A Barry’s Boot Camp extraordinaire, she is also known to enjoy a good glass of Merlot.

Nick Hare

Head of Capital Markets

Nick is responsible for the successful execution of the Group’s capital financing strategy.

Nick has extensive practical, academic and analytical experience, having most recently worked at Cabot Credit Management where he supported the Executive Team by compiling Board reports, researching potential M&A transactions and analysing emerging market opportunities.

Prior to Cabot Nick worked as an investment banking consultant for FactSet where he built complex financial and economic models which allowed clients to make critical decisions when evaluating high value corporate transactions.

Nick holds a degree in Finance and Investment Management from Newcastle Business School. In his spare time, Nick can be found at Coombe Hill Golf Course, where he holds a handicap of 13.

Ryan Benton

Finance Director

Ryan joins Glenhawk from Close Brothers, where he was Senior Finance Business Planner, leading the £110 million turnover Property Finance division. Ryan will support Andrew, overseeing the day-to-day operational payments function. Ryan is a highly experienced finance executive, have previously held senior roles at Aldermore and Bank and Legal & General Investment Management.

Ryan is a graduate from the University of Liverpool and a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is also a key team member of his 5-aside football team.

Daron Kularatnam

Group Treasurer

Daron joined Glenhawk from Belmont Green Finance Limited, where as Head of Treasury Management he structured and developed the Treasury management department during its start-up phase and was part of the team that built a £1.5 billion securitised book.

Prior to this he spent six years at Moodys Investors Service and a further five years at Kensington Mortgages, part of Investec Bank where he was responsible for a £4 billion portfolio of UK near-prime and non-conforming mortgage assets.

Daron is responsible for managing all the financing facilities, and implementing a growth strategy, including modelling all future funding lines at Glenhawk. With a degree in Economics and Business from UCL, Daron is also an avid cricketer and enjoys training Brazilian Jujitsu in his spare time.

Andreea Negroiu

Treasury Associate

Andreea joins Glenhawk as Treasury Associate, where she is part of the team responsible for securing and managing third-party funding lines. Andreea previously held roles within RBS’ Capital Markets team and more recently with credit card specialist lender NewDay, where she spent over three years working within their Treasury department.

Andreea holds a degree from Cass Business School in Business Studies with a finance specialisation, and is currently studying for her Level 3 CFA qualification.

In her spare time, Andreea pursuits travelling and expanding her sports portfolio from running, hiking and snowboarding to paragliding, scuba diving and surfing.

Amy Wareham

Underwriter

Amy is at the heart of our lending team, where she brings with her a unique understanding of the short-term lending cycle, having had experience of working for both brokers and lenders spanning ten years within the sector.

Amy has a comprehensive knowledge of both bridging and development, with a vast understanding on a range of transactions. Her impressive technical knowledge makes her an integral part of the underwriting team.

Previous to Glenhawk, Amy’s previous roles include Case Manager at Lendinvest, Client Relationship Manager at SPF Private Clients and Sales support at Coreco Group. Qualified with a full CeMAP, she has extensive experience dealing with a range of stakeholders as well as structuring and packaging complex development and refurbishment deals. In addition to her love for cooking, Amy enjoys exploring her hometown of North West London.
